CC Sabathia said Wednesday that he feels like a new man a month after he completed a stint at an alcohol rehab center.
“It’s always going to be a struggle with different things, but I feel fantastic,” Sabathia said at the annual Yankees holiday food drive.
“I think it’s just a weight coming off my shoulders. I feel good. I’m in a good mood, always.”
Sabathia shocked Yankee fans when he revealed that he was entering rehab a day before the team’s Oct. 6 wild-card game against the Houston Astros.
The Yankees flamethrower, after spending a month at Connecticut’s Silver Hill Hospital, said he was eager to get back on the diamond.
