CC Sabathia provides prognosis after trip to hospital

CHICAGO — CC Sabathia walked into the Yankees’ clubhouse at U.S. Cellular Field at 5:30 p.m. Friday and was asked by manager Joe Girardi how he felt.

“Tired,’’ was Sabathia’s one-word answer as he moved toward his locker.

Sabathia was taken to a Texas hospital Thursday night after experiencing symptoms of dehydration after pitching five innings against the Rangers in 101 heat.

Sabathia spent the night in the hospital, was given IV fluids and had his heart checked.

“Everything is good,’’ Sabathia said during the third inning of the Yankees’ 13-6 over the White Sox.
