Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia said that he “had no other option…but to get help” when he made the decision to leave the team and head to rehab.
“It was just time,” Sabathia said in an interview with ABC News, his first public comments since completing a month-long stay at a Connecticut rehab to help him in his battle with alcoholism.
“Like I said, I know it was a bad time of the season, but I woke up on that Sunday morning in Baltimore and there was no other option for me but to get help.
