CC Sabathia eyeing Hall of Fame finish in final season

Leaving the big leagues a World Series champion would be the ideal way for CC Sabathia to finish a career that already features a World Series title, an AL Cy Young Award, six All-Star teams and an ALCS MVP.

Sabathia was the Yankees’ ace when they won the 2009 World Series, copped the 2007 AL Cy Young with the Indians, was an All-Star three times with the Indians and Yankees and the 2009 ALCS MVP.

Now, entering his 19th and final season, the 38-year-old lefty who will pitch with a stent in his heart is hunting a second World Series ring, but admits being aware of what is ahead of him from a personal standpoint.
