Carlos Beltran 'out' of Yankees manager hunt that will go to Aaron Boone or Hensley Meulens

ESPN Sunday Night Baseball analyst Aaron Boone or San Francisco Giants bench coach Hensley Meulens is expected to be the winner of a Yankees manager search that has gone on and on and on.

After meeting with six candidates in a span of 21 days, Yankees GM Brian Cashman announced Friday morning that he's done interviewing and has decided who he wants for the job.

Cashman said that he would present his pick to Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner, who has the final say.

By Friday night, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported that the Yankees "have chosen" a manager - either Boone or Meulens - and "we just don't know who yet.
