Cameron Maybin gives Yankees something to think about

If Cameron Maybin’s Yankees days are numbered, he’s going out with a bang.

The journeyman outfielder, who may be cast aside when Aaron Judge returns from the injured list, homered for the third straight game, a personal best, in the Yankees’ 3-0 shutout of the Rays at the Stadium.

Maybin went 3-for-3, scored twice and now has multiple hits in five of his past eight games to raise his batting average to .299.

“He’s been a really good player and another guy that has come in here and fit in, jelled, impacted the room, and then his performance speaks for itself between the lines, what he’s brought,” manager Aaron Boone said.
