As you’ve undoubtedly heard and/or read, the Yankees traded for James Paxton yesterday. It cost them their top prospect in Justus Sheffield, but there’s little doubt that Paxton is the type of talent that you should trade your top prospect for.
2019 CAIRO is mostly done, although I still have to incorporate some more minor league data and make some of the adjustments that get made every season (regressions, park factors, etc.,). But for established MLB players, I don’t expect their forecasts to change much from now until the final version.
