COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum announced that its 2021 induction ceremony will return to the regular format. There will be no tickets required for the Sept. 8 ceremony.
Unfortunately, the event is still scheduled for a Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. It will take place at Cooperstown’s Clark Sports Center. As you well know by now, the ceremony will celebrate the induction of Class of 2020 members Derek Jeter, Marvin Miller, Ted Simmons, and Larry Walker. In addition to the in-person option, the ceremony will be broadcast live on MLB Network.
During the last induction ceremony in 2019, when legendary New York Yankees closer Marino Rivera was inducted unaniMOusly, approximately 55,000 people attended, which was good enough for the second-largest crowd on record.
