BRONX, N.Y. — The New York Yankees are shaving and saving lives.

Who knew? The club’s facial hair policy of being clean-shaven is being recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). An almost surreal graphic surfaced showing which facial hairstyles do or do not interfere with a facepiece respirator.

Clean-shaven tops the list, although there are others listed as acceptable, including a really sketchy mustache called “toothbrush.”

So, while Yankee players like Luis Severino and Giancarlo Stanton are dropping left and right, at least they won’t get coronavirus.
