The President of the Bronx has your back, Yankees fans.
After the stir caused by Lonn Trost's comments last week about the team's new policy on the secondary ticket market—including insensitive descriptions of how some fans would feel about the people sitting next to them—Ruben Diaz Jr., New York's Bronx Borough President, fired back in a letter to the Yankees.
The letter, typed out on official Bronx Borough letterhead and addressed to Yankees president Randy Levine, was written on Tuesday. Here is what stood out, per Hardball Talk:
