Yankee GM Brian Cashman remains “open to anything” this offseason, and that includes the possibility of trading big names such as Brett Gardner and Andrew Miller.
“It may lead to pretty dramatic things or nothing but pretty dramatic stories,” Cashman said Thursday night before a charity event in Manhattan. “I’ve got my ears open — big names, small names.”
So it figures to be an interesting winter in Yankeeland, where Cashman says the trade talk has already been “very aggressive, more so than any winter I can recall. It might be a reflection of the industry or it might be reflective of our roster having so many viable, attractive pieces that are under control.
