Miguel Andujar (right shoulder strain) played catch on the field before the game from a greater length than he had earlier in the week. He said he was encouraged.
“I’m definitely feeling better since the last time I threw,’’ the third baseman said through an interpreter before the Yankees’ 9-6 rain-shortened loss to the White Sox on Friday night at the Stadium.
Andujar also swung a bat, taking 25 dry swings and 25 more off a tee at about half strength. He said he had no issues.
“It doesn’t affect the swing at all,’’ Andujar said.
