Before the Yankees and Red Sox closed the inaugural London Series on Sunday, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman disclosed, in muted tones, his frustrations with ace Luis Severino’s season-long absence as well as the greater injury epidemic that has hit this club.
“We’ve had a number of injuries this year,” Cashman said. “Most of them are unavoidable. Some of them, we could have done something differently, maybe, along the way.
