Heading into today’s action, it was well-known that the Yankees would have to make a roster move after the completion of game one.
However, the Bronx Bombers made a rather surprising decision.
Following Game 1 of today’s doubleheader, the Yankees made the following roster moves:
• Recalled RHP Luis Cessa from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
• Optioned INF/OF Brandon Drury to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.Shortly after a tough 5-4 loss against the Baltimore Orioles, the Yankees announced that Brandon Drury was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In a corresponding move, the Yankees called up Luis Cessa to start game two of their doubleheader.
