BALTIMORE -- Greg Bird appears to have found his power stroke, and that's exceptionally good news for the Yankees.
Bird launched his first career grand slam in the third inning of Wednesday's series finale at Camden Yards, winning a nine-pitch battle with right-hander Dylan Bundy by clanging a 76.7-mph curveball off the right-field foul pole.
The blast was Bird's seventh of the season and capped off a five-run inning for the Yankees, coming with Didi Gregorius, Giancarlo Stanton -- who opened the scoring with an RBI single -- and Aaron Hicks aboard.
