Bird answers interference call with first blast

NEW YORK -- The Yankees went on a two-pitch, two-swing rollercoaster ride in the second inning of Sunday night's contest against the Cardinals.

First, Aaron Judge hit what looked like a two-run homer to right-center field off St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright that was ultimately ruled fan interference and became just a run-scoring triple. On the next pitch, Greg Bird snapped an 0-for-20 slide with a two-run homer to right field to put the Yankees up, 3-1.

Judge's drive was coming down near the outfield fence when a fan with a glove apparently reached out and touched it.
