Baseball Hall of Fame 2018: After 101 counted ballots, voting shows ...

It might be time for the Baseball Hall of Fame Museum to start adding on to the gallery that displays all the plaques up in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Early voting results charted by Hall of Fame tracker Ryan Thibodaux indicate a record nine of 33 candidates could get the needed 75 percent for election.

The most candidates that the BBWAA ever has voted in is five when Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson and Christy Mathewson became the Hall’s inaugural class in 1936.

With 101 of an estimated 416 ballots counted (24.3 percent), it’s looking like three players are locks to get in .
