Andrew Bailey is making progress since suffering his shoulder strain in late April. The reliever is officially off of the minor league DL and is now going to be pitching for the Yankees Single-A affiliate in Tampa. The 31 year old has pitched a bit in the Gulf Coast League while he recovers. He pitched very well in Spring Training and even had a chance to make the 25 man roster, so the Yankees brass remains hopeful he can contribute.
Speaking of injured relievers, Andrew Miller played catch again today and will resume throwing on Saturday, after taking Friday off.
