Baby Yankees-Mets’ brawl breaks, helpless Tebow tries to stop it

Stakes in the other “Subway Series” may have just been raised.

The Baby Yankees and Mets reignited the two franchise’s bitter rivalry Sunday night, engaging in an old fashioned Triple-A brawl that would make both Roger Clemens and Mike Piazza beam.

It all started when the recently demoted Mike Ford homered for Yankees’ affiliate Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Soon after, Syracuse Mets reliever Arquimedes Caminero hurled a ball at Breyvic Valeras’s back, leading to the pitcher’s ejection and the benches clearing.

Danny Espinosa was also thrown out after smack talking the SWB bench, which “sparked some pushing and shoving,” according to The Times-Tribune.
