Phil Coke put together yet another scoreless start for the RailRiders, holding the Braves to just three hits through five innings. This performance lowered his ERA to 1.27 for the season. It was an all-around great day for the RailRiders’ pitching staff as Giovanny Gallegos notched three strikeouts through three perfect innings. Matt Wotherspoon surrendered one hit and struck out a batter to pick up his second save.
The offense was only able to string together five hits against Joel De La Cruz, but one run in the sixth inning turned out to be all they needed.
