Baby Bomber Recap 5/31/16: Phil Coke tosses 5 2/3 scoreless innings as RailRiders shut out Bulls

Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders: W 2-0 vs. Durham Bulls

After a strong start from Phil Coke, of all people, the RailRiders and the Bulls found themselves in a pitchers' duel. Coke tossed five and two-thirds scoreless innings, gave up the only three hits of the game, and struck out five. Conor Mullee, James Pazos, and Anthony Swarzak did not give up any hits or issue any walks throughout the remainder of the game.

The RailRiders finally got on the board in the eighth inning after Jonathan Diaz worked a leadoff walk, stole second base, and advanced to third on a wild pitch.
