Austin was only added to the roster to replace the injured Eric Jagielo, but he ended up making the best of the situation in the end. He was demoted in 2015 after a poor showing in Triple-A and was later removed from the 40-man roster, but if he can take this bat with him into next season, he could get another chance somewhere.

Originally only meant to play part-time this fall, Fowler pushed his way into more regular playing time to be considered one of the better prospects in the championship game.
