NEW YORK -- Tyler Austin doesn't look like a guy who needs a day off, but the Yankees know he's about to get a few of them. Sometime soon, Major League Baseball will rule on Austin's appeal of a five-game suspension for charging the mound April 11 at Fenway Park.
At best, Austin and the Yankees will hope to have the suspension reduced. The Yankees will be without their hot-hitting first baseman for a while.
"The timing's not perfect, obviously," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Thursday.
