Yankee players weren’t the only taking a beating in the second game of the ALCS Sunday night.
An Astros fan allegedly smacked a Yankee fan in the stands of Minute Maid Park after the two got into an argument during Sunday night’s match-up, authorities said.
James Dinkins, 73, was arrested and hit with a misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly slapping the New York fan in the back of the head after he cheered for the Bronx Bombers, prosecutors said.
Dinkins was released on $100 bond, authorities said.
Prosecutor Nathan Beedle said the arrest was “troubling” because Houston prides itself on “hospitality, sportsmanship, and welcoming anyone from anywhere.
