Around the Empire: Yankees news - 9/28/18

NJ.com | Randy Miller: CC Sabathia had himself quite a day yesterday. The veteran left-hander threw five innings of one-hit ball before getting ejected for hitting Jesus Sucre with a 92 mph fastball. Sabathia had some choice words for the Tampa bench after his ejection. He also fell two innings short of 150 innings on the season, meaning he likely missed out on a $500,000 bonus for the season. Sabathia’s made over 250 million in his career, so he’ll probably be okay.

Newsday | Erik Boland: The Yankees still haven’t named a Wild Card starter, but their weekend rotation seems to hint at a possible starter.
