Last night, after the Yankees defeated the Royals in Game 2, the Yankees announced that they had traded Shreve and Giovanny Gallegos to the Cardinals for Luke Voit and international signing pool bonus money. Shreve saved the Yankees bacon against the Mets, after he bailed Chapman out of his 9th inning struggles. You can read more about the trade here. Shreve has been on the Yankees for four years.
