NY Post | Ken Davidoff and Joel Sherman: Following Rob Manfred’s decision to impose a 60-game season, the player’s union and the league are working quickly to coordinate on the physical impediments still impacting the game. The league required the player’s union to notify them if a July 1st report date for spring training 2.0 would be possible, and to sign off on new rules put in place to attempt to stave off COVID-19 while the season kicks off. The first requirement passed, and the union is working with the league to make sure that all the proper procedures will be in place for everyone’s safety, however that will work.
