Yahoo! Sports | Scott Thompson: In the eighth inning of yesterday’s game against the Houston Astros, Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela was removed with a knee injury after making a diving stop. Although Aaron Boone described his knees as “stable” after going through a few tests with the team trainers, he was nonetheless sent for an MRI last night. Losing Urshela, a top defensive third baseman and the team’s most common cleanup hitter in recent weeks, for any significant stretch of time would be a major blow, so hopefully the tests come back well.
