Yahoo Sports | Hannah Keyser: As shocking as the Yankees’ COVID-19 outbreak this week surely was to many, some experts say that the situation shouldn’t be too much of surprise. Keyser talked a handful of scientists that explained that when you have a large group of people that interact so closely, particularly one that received the less effective of the publicly available vaccines, it’s certainly possible that when introduced to the virus, a few members of the group would get infected. They all stressed the fact that the vaccines were doing an important job by keep the infections the Yankees have sustained to minimal symptoms.
