Around the Empire: Yankees news - 4/9/19

MLB.com | Alyson Footer: After throwing from 130 feet a few days ago, Luis Severino told the Yankees he was still experiencing discomfort in his injured right shoulder. Manager Aaron Boone downplayed the injury yesterday, but Sevy is headed back to New York for an MRI. This is not good, folks.

MLB.com | Mark Feinsand: Since there’s still no timetable for Severino’s return, it might make sense for the Yankees to make a play for another pitcher. Dallas Keuchel remains unsigned, and although the fill-in starters have been good so far, it might not hurt to bring the 2015 AL Cy Young in to round out the rotation.
