NJ.com | Randy Miller: Gio Gonzalez was a late signing by the Yankees, so naturally he needed a warm-up start in Triple-A Scranton before getting the call to the Bronx. Gonzalez may need to spend a little bit more time in the minors, though. His first audition did not go well at all, giving up eight runs on eight hits with three walks in just four innings. Gonzalez remained positive after the game, but if he doesn’t shape up soon, there’s a chance that he never makes it back to the big leagues as a Yankee.
