ESPN: In rare baseball news, Yankees manager Aaron Boone has stated that outfielder Giancarlo Stanton would be ready to play if spring training started up today. Since straining his right calf last month, Stanton has resumed baseball activities, and has not only hit, but also run at full speed and in all directions and generally, to use the manager’s words, “doing all the things necessary to get into a game.” While nothing is certain in these uncertain times, it’s looking more and more likely that Stanton will be back on the field once baseball resumes.
