Around the Empire: Yankees news - 1/3/20

NJ.com | Randy Miller: We’re still a few months out from Opening Day, but Miller takes his best swing at projecting how the Yankees’ 26-man roster will shake out by then. The key pressure points on the roster right now are at the corner infield and outfield spots and at DH. Currently, Miller predicts Giancarlo Stanton will start in left, Miguel Andujar will start at DH, and Gio Urshela will reprise his role as starting third baseman.

The Athletic | Joe Posnanski: As you’ve surely heard by now, we received sad news late Wednesday night that former Yankee Don Larsen passed away at the age of 90.
