Aroldis Chapman’s return was supposed to complete the Yankees’ bullpen.
Instead, in his first game back after spending nearly a month on the disabled list with left knee tendinitis, Chapman wasn’t sharp and gave up a three-run homer to Mookie Betts to blow open Boston’s 11-6 win that clinched the AL East title at the Stadium Thursday night.
Chapman and manager Aaron Boone, though, thought it was a good step for the closer.
“I feel good, that’s the important thing,’’ Chapman said through an interpreter. “I feel healthy. The other stuff we can work on.
