KANSAS CITY -- If you watched most Yankees games from start to finish this season, you probably noticed third baseman Chase Headley making a lot of very good defensive plays.
And you certainly have seen Headley made a bunch of mistakes in the field, too ... six throwing errors, two boots on groundballs and a missed catch.
Going strictly by statistics, Headley's nine errors heading into Thursday's Yankees-Royals game at Kauffmann Field are the most in baseball of any player at any position.
His .909 fielding percentage is the lowest of any qualifying position player.
