Another award for Yankees' Didi Gregorius and his red-hot bat

Two days after being named the American League Player of the Week, Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius has another piece of hardware to add to his trophy shelf: the American League Player of the Month for April.

Below is the press release with the announcement:

Gregorius posted a slash line of .327/.421/.735 with 24 runs scored, 32 hits, eight doubles, a triple, 10 home runs, 30 RBI and two stolen bases to claim his first career AL Player of the Month Award. Didi's All-Star teammate Aaron Judge won a pair of monthly awards last season, including the most recent honor last September.
