NEW YORK -- After flashing some leather in the fourth inning, Miguel Andujar gave his team a 6-0 lead in the fifth on a three-run blast to left-center Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.
Following Greg Bird's sacrifice fly, Andujar launched his 13th home run of the season -- and first since June 29 against Boston -- a Statcast™ projected 410 feet into the left-center-field seats. The Yankees' rookie recorded a hit in 21 of the 24 games he played in July.
Just an inning prior to the long ball, Andujar showcased his defensive talents, robbing Mark Trumbo of a hit down the third-base line.
