It’s here! After four days of waiting, the Yankees’ playoff run will finally begin tonight. The Yankees will hope to play deep into the month and eventually add a 28th World Series title to their tally. Before any of that can happen, they have to get through the ALDS against the Twins.
On paper, this will be a battle of two of the most impressive offenses in baseball. The two teams finished first and second in home runs, becoming the first and second to ever hit 300 in a season. Combined with the occasionally less than stellar pitching the teams showcased at points, we could very well see some fireworks tonight.
