NEW YORK — It was a disappointing night in The Bronx, with New York falling to the Atlanta Braves, 5-3, in 11 innings.
The Yankees are now back in second place in the American League East, with Boston owning a one game lead.
An 11th inning fly ball from Ronald Acuna Jr., off of David Robertson, landed about an inch above the outstretched arm of Aaron Judge and landed in the seats for a home run and two-run Atlanta lead.
Overall, though, it was a night of missed opportunities which eventually just caught up to the team in extra innings.
