MINNEAPOLIS — While talking Tuesday about Aaron Judge’s return to the Yankees, manager Aaron Boone used the word “hopefully.’’
Judge has made big strides lately to get off the disabled list by taking early batting practice on the field and Tuesday he threw to bases for the first time.
Was there a morsel of doubt in Boone’s mind that Judge wouldn’t be able to make it back from the fracture in his right wrist?
“I think he will be back. I don’t want to race out. Yes, I am confident he will be back but I don’t want to get too far ahead,’’ Boone said before Tuesday night’s game against the Twins at Target Field.
