Aaron Judge shines, Montgomery impresses in 8-4 Yankees win over the Rays

This was a day game with a lot of actions. We saw a rookie make his MLB debut, Yankees scoring in bunches to come back from a 3-0 deficit, a scary collision and, well, New York coming up victorious in the end. With today’s win, New York already clinched the home opening series versus Tampa and improved to a 4-4 record.

The debut

Montgomery’s first big league inning was a whirlwind of things. He struck out the first two hitters in eight pitches. He then walked Longoria after a 3-2 battle and allowed a two-run homer to Rickie Weeks.
