Aaron Judge leaped at the wall to try to keep the game tied in the top of the eighth when Boston’s J.D. Martinez lofted a fly ball to deep right off Dellin Betances, but even at 6-foot-7, Judge wasn’t able to keep it in the park.
The home run gave the Red Sox the decisive run in a 5-4 win in The Bronx, snapping the Yankees’ eight-game winning streak — and it also cost one fan his seat.
While no one reached over the wall, fans also didn’t back off to give Judge more room to try to bring the ball back.
