Aaron Judge has done it.
Leading off Game 2 of a doubleheader, the New York Yankees outfielder broke Roger Maris' American League home run record with his 62nd home run. Judge has had an outstanding season overall at the plate, batting .311 and logging 131 RBIs. He is the primary reason New York is among MLB's elite this season.
Judge broke Maris' 1961 record -- a mark that has stood for six decades and, until Mark McGwire hit 70 in 1998, was the single-season MLB record -- with just two games remaining in the season.
