The 2018 Major League Baseball season doesn’t begin until Thursday, but Yankee Aaron Judge is already leading the league — in the number of different bobbleheads for a player coming off his rookie year.
According to unofficial stats from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum — yes there is one in the works, in Milwaukee — Judge now has about 24 distinct figurines, including one version that will be given away on May 4 at Yankee Stadium. Another will appear at the May 26 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders AAA game, where Judge once played.
“The demand for Judge bobbleheads has been tremendous, which has led to the production of so many different bobbleheads,” said Phil Sklar, cofounder and chief executive of the bobblehead museum, scheduled to open in late April.
