Aaron Hicks finally made it back to Yankee Stadium on Sunday, but not for the reasons the Yankees would have liked.
The center fielder was in town mostly to take care of paperwork for his apartment, and he remains out with a strained lower back suffered during spring training. He has advanced to taking swings, which is what has led to his setbacks so far early this season.
“Hitting was a problem for me,” Hicks said before the Yankees lost to the White Sox, 5-2. “Every time I hit [during rehab] was when it would start to fire up and start to be painful.
