DETROIT -- The Yankees had a lot to miss when switch-hitting center fielder Aaron Hicks went on the disabled list after suffering an intercostal strain on Opening Day.
His defense always is elite, both his glove and throwing arm.
His bat can be special, too.
Hicks showed off his offensive skills and made a little history on Friday night in an 8-6 Yankees win over the Detroit Tigers that included another Dellin Betances meltdown.
Just off the DL as of Thursday, Hicks had two homers in his second game back, the first an inside the parker.
