NEW YORK — Yankees' fourth outfielder Aaron Hicks is out for a few days with traumatic shoulder bursitis, an injury he suffered after diving for a ball in the outfield on Friday night.
He's listed as day-to-day.
But his status is putting the manager Joe Girardi and the Yankees in a tricky spot, since they're playing Sunday, and probably the next series in Texas against the Rangers, short-handed.
"It does (hurt us)," Girardi said. "But we're going to have to find a way to do it."
Since Hicks isn't on the disabled list the Yankees can't call on anyone else to fill his roster spot.
