The question appeared to flummox Aaron Boone a tad, and that might be the best signal of this snow-blinded Monday at Yankee Stadium.
With the weather pushing back the Yankees’ home opener to Tuesday afternoon (weather permitting), Boone did his managerial duty by holding a news conference to give us some material for the newspapers, websites, TV shows, etc. that run regardless of how it looks outside. And a reporter fairly asked the neophyte skipper Boone, now with four games — and a 2-2 record, meaningfully — on his résumé, how he felt about the second-guessing.
“I don’t know,” Boone started to say, the natural communicator searching for words, and then he found them: “I guess I don’t deal with the second-guessing.
