Aaron Boone was expressing his displeasure with Major League Baseball officials long before Tuesday night’s game began.
The New York Yankees manager joined Kim Jones and John Jastremski of WFAN prior to his team’s Queens showdown with the New York Mets. Boone spoke mostly about the positive developments in pinstripes. The Yankees are 54-29, leading the AL East by 5 1/2 games after Tuesday’s action.
However, Boone was taken aback by his team’s representation, or lack thereof, at the upcoming MLB All-Star Game.
Second baseman DJ LeMahieu and catcher Gary Sanchez are among the American League starters.
