A tough day for the Yankees, both good and bad

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- A largely trouble-free spring training became troublesome for the New York Yankees on Wednesdsay when a pair of pitchers -- first interim closer Andrew Miller, and later Bryan Mitchell -- went down with potentially-serious injuries during an exhibition game against the Atlanta Braves.

And earlier, the Yankees camp had gotten a bit more problematic in a more positive way when Ivan Nova, in the running for the No. 5 starter's job against CC Sabathia, turned in probably the best performance by any Yankee starter this spring by pitching six innings of two-hit shutout ball in a game the Yankees eventually won, 2-0.
